President Jacob Zuma het Dinsdag die hoeveelheid gewelddadige diensleweringsbetogings wat hy die afgelope vyf jaar in sy amp waargeneem het, veroordeel.
Hy het op ʼn vraag in die parlement reageer of hy persoonlik aandag gee aan die diensleweringsbetogings en munisipale opstande.
“Ek het op talle geleenthede tydens gewelddadige betogings selfbeheersing versoek,” het Zuma in ʼn geskrewe reaksie geantwoord. “Alhoewel die Grondwet aan mense die reg gee om te betoog, moet dit binne die grense van die wet en op ʼn vreedsame manier geskied. Ek het daarop gewys dat die kultuur van gewelddadige gemeenskapbetogings aangespreek moet word. Ons moet die inwoners van die land aanspreek oor die kultuur van gewelddadige betogings wat geërf is van ons apartheid-geskiedenis. Ons was tot nou toe nie in staat om dit af te skud nie.”
Zuma het gesê dat probleme nie deur geweld en woede opgelos kan word nie. Hy het ook bygevoeg dat dienslewering aan alle landburgers geprioritiseer is.

Ja nee!!! Apartheid moet altyd die skuld kry. Zuma!!! Ek het nuus vir jou, vandat die NUWE regering 20jaar terug oor gevat het is ons dienslewering in sy m@@@!!!! Julle moet darem onthou julle kan nie als op die apartheid blameer nie. Maar ek het vergeet, as iets nie reg kom nie is dit maklik om te se dis apartheid. Ek dink weer vandat julle oorgevat het is dienslewering pateties, meen apartheid is 20jaar al iets van die verlede, wil jy vir my se julle kon in 20jaar nie die probleem opgelos het nie??????? Ag asseblief. In die Apartheidsera was betogings teen die wet. Die ANC het dit in die Grondwet ingeskryf. Dit wettig gemaak. Ongelukkig is dit so dat sekere lede van Suid-Afrika hul nog nooit aan wette gesteur nie en dis hoekom dit hand-uit ruk. Wys net dat sekere mense bleddie stadig is van begrip want na 20 jaar ‘kon hul dit nog nie afskud nie’. Siestog………
Hy behoort hom te skaam vir sy uitlating en indien moontlik, bloedrooi te word in sy gesig! Die gebrek aan dienslewering lê dan ook vierkantig op sy skouers, in twintig jaar is byna niks opgebou of onderhou nie.
20 Jaar “besit” hul die land, na 20 jr is dit nog steeds apartheid se skuld. Hoekom is al die beloftes wat hul gemaak het in 1994 nog nie nagekom nie? Hoe lank moet arme ANC kiesers nog lewe op beloftes en ek praat van basiese beloftes wat wel nagekom KAN word, as ons regering nie so baie geld mors nie.
Vaderland is ons so gereed om op ons perdjie te spring oor Zuma dat ons letterlik woorde pluk uit ‘n artikel en dit in ons eie konteks lees en verstaan. Hel, ek is nie ‘n Zuma aanhanger nie. Maar in hierdie artikel blameer hy NIE apartheid nie, hy noem maar net dat dit ‘n ou gewoonte is wat oorgebly het van Apartheid (van sy eie ras!). Mensig, dit moet uitputtend wees om konstant met ‘n hipersensitiewe vervolgingswaansin houding rond te loop.
Wys net hoe misleidend en magtig n titel kan wees!
Zuma moet sy kaders van klein tot groot leer wat is opvoeding nie bobbejaan streeke nie want. As jy nie n opvoeding het gaan dit so geen omgee vir niks en niemand ons moet maar net Bid dat hulle begin verstand kry want hulle het dit nie shame

so tussen ons, omdat jy jou privaatwoning gebou het met R240miljoen se staatsgeld, se die die anc regering nou dat daar NIE R245 miljoen is om 800 huise in Mpumalanga van elektrisiteit, riool en water en paaie te voorsien nie.

Well after 20+ years of rule, one would think that the ANC would have corrected some of the faults of the apartheid regime, however we do not hear of any improvement anywhere! Strangely enough though in the eastern cape where the DA is in power we every now and then hear of slight improvement (however small it is, we hear about it), but yet they are labelled as racists…. I don’t know… maybe my white eyes are blind to all the important good that the ANC have done? Like all the name changes that feed the hungry, the tenders that house the homeless, the arms deals that medicate the sick, the improvements on personal property that improves the conditions of our roads, or the BEE system that provides equal opportunity to every one and not just a select few! Like any self serving government, they would rather blame things like terrorism, racism or apartheid for their short fall instead of taking a stand like any good leader should. Did apartheid buy him that larney house too?

Zuma blasts the police.
It never seems to amaze me how the ANC Government can find something or someone to blame for their failures. In the article reference is made to an interview that was held with President Jacob Zuma where he states that what has not been addressed is the culture and legacy of apartheid violence.
I am afraid it is not the apartheid legacy but the culture and legacy of the ANC. The ANC created a generation of ANC supporters that believe in the gospel of violence. The ANC chose to seek freedom through the barrel of the gun with no regard for innocent life.
Dissenting voices were silenced with the most brutal methods imaginable. The ANC condoned the street justice of kangaroo courts and the brutal killings that resulted. I want to quote Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in this regard “Together, hand in hand, with our boxes of matches and our necklaces we shall liberate this country.”
Zuma further agreed with the view that the police, with its history of apartheid death squads and in adequate training in public order policing were weaknesses in the system.
The flip side of the coin is that many of the cadres who were members of Umkhonto we Sizwe were incorporated in the armed and security forces like the SAP. These members were trained in the planting of landmines by the ANC and took part in the planting of landmines that resulted in the killing of many civilians and the maiming of hundreds.
These same cadres were trained and involved in the detonation of bombs in supermarkets, Wimpy restaurants, the Ellispark Sports Stadium, the Durban beach front, the Magoos bar and banks.
The cadres were further involved in regular torture and killing of suspected “collaborators” and “mutineers” in ANC torture camps like Quatro.
Anyone who chose to serve their communities by being part of the local government in the era of National Party rule became targets of ANC cadres. Black Mayors and their entire families were murdered and their houses burnt down. Technicians from counsels and other government institutions like Telkom and Eskom’s vehicles were torched and many suffered horrible deaths. How does the ANC expect the people to behave otherwise when the culture they established was one that promoted the burning and destruction of municipal infrastructure?
The ANC culture contributes further to the spade of violent service delivery protests on a different level. Its policy to make the country “ungovernable” during the National Party rule left a generation of ANC supporter that have scant regard for laws and any form of authority. A law on to their own whom still on a regular basis stone to death suspected thieves in the townships while the police looks on helplessly.
The ANC’s rent boycotts during the national party rule established a culture of non-payment for services. Today the culture of non-payment for services still continues. To hide the extent of the non-payment large sums of arrears are written off on a regular basis by the affected municipalities and extensive indigent policies legitimize the non-payment for services. The effected municipalities cannot service the communities, as they do not receive payment for the services provided.
The ANC’s policy of “Democracy before Education” has left a culture of not valuing education. An ANC support base that is uneducated burns down classrooms and municipal libraries. Without education they lack the means to create wealth and to build their own houses and pay for the municipal services that they use and water and electricity they consume.
The culture of cadre appointment and “transformation” has left the municipalities without the necessary skills to keep up with the rapid growth in the population numbers. This country is in no position to keep on providing municipal services for free to an ever-increasing number of people unless sovereign debt is used to fund these services. The consequences of funding services with debt are all to clear in Europe.
The ANC’s policy of child grants fosters the belief that it is ok to have as many children as possible as government will look after them. The ANC fosters a culture that it is ok to have children even if I can’t house, feed, clothe or even more important educate them. But birth control would properly not be very high on the agenda of The ANC as its appointed president has 21 children and four wives. Maybe if more attention were given to bring down the birthrate we would be in a position catch up on the housing and service delivery backlog.
I suggest that ANC government stops blaming the police and everything else for their failures including the poor state of service delivery and violent service delivery protests. It should rather assume responsibility and muster the political will to fix it.
